The UNESCO has declared the Dolomites a Natural World Heritage Site. Alta Badia is the fascinating Ladin Valley whose picturesque alpine villages are ideally located for magnificent views and easy access to some of the most famous and beautiful peaks and landscapes cited in UNESCO’s declaration: the natural parks of Fanes-Senes and Braies, the Puez Odles Group. Sunset in the Dolomites is a breathtaking experience not to be missed. In a unique natural phenomenon known as Enrosadira, west facing rock faces rich in calcium carbonate and manganese seem to catch fire in the dying rays. The peaks lay on a glorious display of colour, starting out bright yellow before turning intense red that softens to indigo and violet before darkness climbs from the valley and finally envelops the mountains. The Ladin valley is an inexhaustibly rich natural playground for all ages, all year round. Thanks to its favourable position, which puts us at the centre of a territory rich of history and traditions, you can walk and travel among one of the most beautiful areas in Italy, thanks to the landscape, architectural, cultural, environmental heritage and food which is rich in our land.
